Simon Spencer, known by his artistic moniker “Jimmy Humbucker,” is a singer-songwriter residing in Toronto, Ontario, who grapples with Tourette Syndrome.

His musical style is an intriguing fusion of folk, singer/songwriter aesthetics, and alternative/pop-punk rock. Drawing inspiration from a diverse array of artists ranging from City and Colour to later-era Green Day, Jimmy Humbucker’s sound is uniquely his own.

For the past decade, Jimmy has been actively engaged in writing and recording music. His journey began in 2010, when he ventured into the professional realm by performing at various open mic nights across Oakville, Mississauga, Toronto, and neighboring locales.

An esteemed member of SOCAN, and previously being a member of Nashville Songwriters Association (NSAI), Jimmy Humbucker’s talents have been recognized early on. He was honored with an invitation to perform alongside the NSAI Toronto chapter at the Tin Pan North Festival, celebrating the song writing craft within the organization.

Jimmy’s initial three self-produced albums, namely “¡Little One!,” “La Niña,” and “QuaranTunes,” encapsulate a decade-long odyssey of independent songcraft. Simon remains steadfast in his commitment to pushing the boundaries of alternative folk rock, characterized by his distinctive pop-punk-infused vocals and experimental sonic explorations.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Simon finds solace in spending quality time with his dog, cherishing moments with loved ones, and advocating for the rights of individuals living with Tourette Syndrome.
